Spring Loaded (SLI) Sensor Insert

The SLI is designed to suit all sensor arrangements that utilise a thermowell or an outer protective sheath.

These can be supplied as replacement units in place of other manufacturers products as well as those manufactured by Thermal Detection. The sensor sheath is available in diameters from 3mm up to 9.5mm and in lengths to suit the thermowell.

The sensor sheath is generally manufactured in 316L, 310 or 321 grades of stainless steel, but Inconel is also available. A spring mounted, ceramic terminal block with up to six posts is fitted to the sensor sheath via a stainless steel mounting plate. 

Temperature sensing is provided by either a thermocouple or PT100 resistance thermometer and a single, duplex or triplex thermocouple or single or duplex PT100 can be accommodated.

Where high level signal transmission is required the ceramic terminal block can be replaced by a temperature transmitter providing a signal output of 4 to 20mA.
