Bi-metal indicator (BMI) and Filled System Indicator (FSI)

For simple and inexpensive plant temperature monitoring the BMI series of bimetal thermometers and the FSI series of filled system thermometers are the solution.

The BMI bimetal thermometer is all in stainless steel and can be supplied with the stem  mounted on the bottom of the indicator case or from the centre of the case rear. Alternatively, as shown in the photograph it can be supplied in an 'any angle' format, allowing the plant operator to adjust the thermometer dial so that it presents the best viewing position.

Dial sizes offered are 100mm, 130mm and 160mm and stem diameters are available as 6mm, ¼", 8mm or ½" with various stem lengths. A maximum stem length of 1500mm can be provided when using a ½" diameter stem. For temperature scales please see product data sheet No 076 below.

The FSI filled system range of thermometers utilise a non-toxic filling medium which enables remote monitoring of plant temperature by using a sensing bulb and capillary for transmission. They can also be supplied with a rigid stem similar to that of the BMI series. The thermometer case can be provided with the capillary mounted on the bottom or at the case rear. This last option allows the thermometer case to be panel mounted if required.

Dial sizes are 100mm or 160mm and the case material can be in stainless steel or a non-toxic, fire retardant glass filled polyester resin. For temperature scales please see product data sheet No 077 below.
