Medium Duty Pharmaceutical (MDP, MDPS & MDPF) Sensor :
The MDP series is similar to the LDP light duty series, but it has a more rugged construction and is designed for use in most process areas where there is no environmental protection.
The probe sheath is in 316L stainless steel with diameters of 6.0mm up to 12.7mm and lengths to suit the application requirements. The MDP differs from the LDP probe because the sheath acts as a small fabricated thermowell or pocket with an internal spring loaded sensor sheath insert.
The insert diameters range from 3.0mm up to 9.5mm and they can be fitted with either a standard ceramic connection block or a temperature transmitter. As with the LDP this unit can be connected to the process via a stud coupling (compression fitting), adjustable flange, Tri-clover flange or a PG sealing gland (see 'Sealing Glands' button) using a soft sealant.
The connection head material is in a white FDA approved GRP with a screw cap, stainless steel retention chain and an M20 cable entry. It is environmentally rated to IP67.
The MDP can be supplied in either a thermocouple or PT100 resistance thermometer configuration.
