Probe Mounting Cap (GL45) for Duran® Bottles and Others

These caps are modified to ensure the optimum positioning of a temperature probe when placed in a liquid product vessel prior to sterilisation.

It is often desirable if not necessary to be able to position the load probe centrally and at a pre-determined height when measuring the temperature of liquid product.

The weight of the sensor lead wire cable and the length of the probe usually prevent this since there is often no simple means of securing the probe.

A standard Schott® GL45 polypropylene bottle cap is permanently fitted with a 316L stainless steel sealing gland with a Teflon® sealant. This allows a fast and simple solution to maintaining the position of the probe. The sealing gland clamping nut is only required to be finger tight for it to hold the selected position of the probe.
